Ability to Benefit Test

If an applicant does not have a high school diploma, GED or if they need a 10th grade equivalency certification, they will need to take an ability to benefit (ATB) test given by our independent test administrator.  The ATB test used is the Wonderlic Basic Skills Test.  If the applicant has completed the 10th grade, they will only need to pass the ATB test with the minimum scores of 200 (verbal) and 210 (quantitative).  If the applicant has not completed the 10th grade, they will need to score 285 (verbal) and 281 (quantitative) or have a composite average of 285.

The independent administrator will give the test as many times as needed throughout the year.  The cost of the test is $25.00 and must be paid in advance by money order, certified check or cash before the test will be scheduled.  No personal checks will be accepted for test payment.  The test fee is paid directly to the independent test administrator and the fee is subject to change according to the actual cost involved.  The ATB test is timed and no one will be admitted late.
